For the past three years, NICA has been working on bringing The Story of Nowruz to the big stage. The intention of this work has always been to expand love and unity among all through the beautiful rituals and traditions of Nowruz.

With increasing concerns for the community’s health and well-being during the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, it is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Niosha International Conservatory of Arts (NICA) has decided to postpone upcoming performances of The Story of Nowruz at the Palace of Fine Arts on March 21st and 22nd, 2020.

Our aim at NICA is to spread love and unity through art, and while risk to the public remains low, we believe we will be able to achieve our goal to share the beauty of Nowruz with more people by moving our event to a future date. Due to the uncertainty of how factors regarding COVID-19 will evolve, we have tentatively booked several upcoming dates including either July 11th and 12th, September, or next March.

Even though our musicians, dancers, and actors have been practicing for months, the safety of our community takes precedence over all else. The Story of Nowruz has received such wide spread support among our community with amazing volunteers, sponsors, cast, and crew that is beyond our expectations. We feel absolutely blessed with all of your endless support and love!

The Story of Nowruz is fully READY to hit the stage at a drop of a hat as soon as it is safe to do so.

Sincerely,
Niosha Nafei-Jamali & The NICA Team
