Based on popular demand, rave reviews, and sold out audiences, from artistic director Tara Ghassemieh, alongside renowned former San Francisco Ballet principal dancer, Vitor Luiz, The White Feather, A Persian Ballet Tale, continues its timely national tour, with one night only in San Francisco, commemorating the first anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s arrest and unjust death- the event which ignited the first ever women-led revolution in the world.

We invite you to join us on this unforgettable journey honoring the history of art and expression in Iran through the untold story of the Iranian National Ballet and their untimely curtain call and the fight for freedom by the past and current freedom fighters of our land. The White Feather is a tale that follows the inner child in all of us who yearn to express themselves freely and to stand up to tyranny.  The story of the ballet, co-authored by Sanaz K. Soltani and Ghassemieh, is a stirring narrative of resilience, hope, and beauty which will leave you feeling inspired and empowered.  Original music by legendary Shahrdad Rohani and in partnership with Iranian American Women Foundation.

Summer fun continues -- NICA style. Please join us for fun under the sun hanging out with our amazing members & supporters of NICA. We will bask in the Walnut Creek sun enjoying lively music, painting (face & canvas), a variety of games (Esm o Famil…) & sports (beach volleyball, Basketball, softball) in the company of good friends. Also, bring your swimsuit if splashing in the pool is your thing! And no gathering is complete without delicious finger foods, sweets, & Persian tea. OK we might dance a little too ;)

The Story of Nowruz is a celebration of spring, told through new choreography and musical composition and will employ state-of the-art technology and visual effects to showcase the artistic elements of traditional Persian dances and folk dances from different regions to display the diversity among all who celebrate Nowruz.

The Story of Nowruz takes you on a mesmerizing journey through 7 scenes that display the true meaning of the full 13 days of traditions celebrated by millions throughout the 17 plus countries that celebrate Nowruz. As winter comes to an end and there begins the bustle and anticipation of the arrival of spring, of course spring cleaning is a must!
